Welcome back beauties, I wanted to share an easy DIY makeover hack I recently did with an old Ikea serving tray that I bought a few years ago. It was old and grimy and instead of throwing it away I decided I would revamp it and give a  new look.

Supplies

Ikea serving tray
Paint of choice
Paint brush
Duck Deco Adhesive Laminate, Taupe Quatrefoil, 20 In x 12 ft.
Scissors
Smoothing tool or credit card
Pen (for measuring)
Clean rag

Check out the video below for the full tutorial!

Step 1

Clean your surface area and make sure that it is flat as possible, like I said ours was old and it had old stuck on food on it 🤢 so I made sure to scrape that off. This gave me a clean and flat surface to work with.

Step 2

Paint 2 full coats using the paint of your choice.

Step 3

Let dry!

Step 4

Time for contact paper!

Measure the contact paper size for your serving tray. Using a pen, mark on the back side of the contact paper where you will be making your cuts.

TIP: Use tape to hold the contact paper in place when making your cuts.

Step 5

Adhere contact paper to surface and using a smoothing tool or credit card, smooth out all the bubbles. Continue until your serving tray surface is covered with the contact paper.

    1. Hi Zahra, It’s actually very durable! It’s been over a year and I still use this tray a lot! I usually just wipe it down with a wet rag/cloth and its good to go. I would say dont put it in the dishwasher or let it soak and you should be fine.
